In the international Airport in Santiago de Chile, Arturo Merino Benítez, are arriving around 17 international airlines from all over the world. The main airline is LAN Chile (now merged with Brazil’s TAM).

Due to Chiles vast length this transportation, one of the fastest and safest ways to travel is by plane. The three companies that perform local flights are LAN, Sky Airlines and Pal Airlines, the latter being the only one with only destination within Chile.

Lan, which is currently the largest airline in Chile, is offering destinations in Latin America, North America, the Caribbean, Oceania and Europe. Since 2000 it is member of the Oneworld alliance, allowing you to cover a lot of destinations in the world. LAN is divided into three main segments: the first is long-range operations, the second is covering routes within South America and the third are domestic flights in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador and Colombia.

Sky Airlines, is a small Chilean airline, which provides since 2002 air transport services for passengers and cargo. Their destinations are preferably within Chile and from the north to the south. Furthermore they also have destinations in 4 countries of Latin America, which are: Peru, Colombia, Argentina and Bolivia.

Pal Airlines, the Chilean airline is dedicated to conducting more regular flights. Nevertheless, it has only 5 destinations, which includes Santiago, Calama, Iquique, Copiapo, Antofagasta and Concepción.
